Sri Lanka is the best place to experience safaris in Asia, at 26 National Parks. These parks are very popular among tourists. In these nature reserves, all kinds of animals can be found, from crocodiles to elephants and leopards and at many of the national parks you can do safaris all around the year. Diverse wildlife including elephants, leopards, sloth bears and over 400 varieties of bird species can be seen in the various parks, all with their own highlights. Visitors are allowed to enter national parks but only for the purpose of observing flora and fauna and with a permit.
