  I have just completed an amazing 20 day personalised tour of Sri Lanka organised by Sesatha travel. When I spoke with Shehan at Sesatha I only had a rough idea of where I wanted to go and do. Then he and Sarah compiled an itinerary that matched my desire for adventure and some relaxation time perfectly. The communication from both Shehan and Sarah, who was liaising with the hotel and tour providers, was first class from start to finish. They suggested I have a driver, which is common practice and a sensible way to see Sri Lanka if you intend to travel to numerous destinations, and teamed me up with Gayan who was fantastic. He was an excellent guide and educator on the history, culture, food, regional nuances, religions and where and when to go to the amazing sites Sri Lanka has to offer. His jovial personality and sense of humour was infectious everywhere we went. Having someone who knows the country, speaks the language, and is willing to go the extra yard was invaluable. There are many Sri lankan sites and ‘tours’ that operate on a ‘turn up’ basis. So, if you are prepared to be a bit flexible and pay a bit as you travel along – tips, adhoc site visits etc, you can have an amazing cultural experience and a relaxing vacation.   Perfect beach break between Europe and Australia Shehan and his Sri Lankan team looked after us beautifully. From a seamless airport meet and greet, excellent and safe drivers and delightful accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble and our Sri Lankan contact, Nilu even stored our excess luggage (all our European winter gear) at his home in Negombo so we didn’t need to take it with us. Due to monsoon activity in the south, we opted for a 4 day beach break in Trincomalee. The drive across the island was an amazing cultural experience as We passed through traditional towns and villages, even having to slow down to allot wild elephants to cross the road. Shehan suggested we spend our first night in Negombo and he chose a lovely small hotel, fully equipped with AC and a beautiful pool. The resort in Uppevelli was also delightful, right on the beach so we could walk across the lawn and be in the ocean 2 mins walk from our villa. Shehan also sorted a minor confusion we had with drivers (entirely my fault) and ensured we were always safe and happy. I really recommend Sesatha Travel (Brisbane based agency specializing in Sri Lanka) if you want to experience Sri Lanka in style and with a minimum of fuss.   From Overwhelmed to Overjoyed. A Custom Masterclass by Shehan at Sesatha Travel I found myself in a bit of a bind: I had already booked our flights to Sri Lanka but hadn't even begun to organize an itinerary. As the trip got closer, the logistics were getting overwhelming. I reached out to a number of agencies online, but Shehan from Sesatha Travel was the only one who personally called me within 15 minutes of my inquiry. From that first phone call, I knew I was getting a high-touch, one-on-one expert experience. Shehan handled everything.   Seamless & Memorable Sri Lanka trip We recently returned from two weeks in Sri Lanka which was organised by Sesatha Travel and we were very happy with the experience from start to finish. The whole trip was exceptionally well organised which made it stress free for our group of four. Our itinerary was well planned and allowed us to experience a wide range of incredible places. We still had time to relax and enjoy each destination. Our accommodation throughout the whole trip was excellent and chosen in great locations. Our guide and driver, Duminda, was a fantastic local guide, knowledgeable and always smiling. We felt completely safe on the roads thanks to his careful and skilful driving and the vehicle was very comfortable with plenty of room for the four of us and our luggage.   Wonderful experience of Sri Lanka, well managed by Sesatha Travel We booked late, as we had other family commitments to sort out. However, Shehan was very helpful with inside knowledge of accommodation, tours and activities which suited us very well.   THE BEST holiday in Sri Lanka organised by Sesatha Travel Pty Ltd I was looking online for an Ayurvedic Retreat Centre, originally in Kerala and then decided Sri Lanka would suit me better. I have been there a coupe of times over 40 years, loved the country and decided to return.I was browsing some websites when I got a phone call from a travel agent in Brisbane, this was great to have someone in Australia who was familiar with all things Sri Lankan having been born there. From the first phone call the whole journey was a very pleasant experience and nothing was too much trouble for Shehan the owner and director of the company Sesatha Travel. He organised every little detail, from getting picked up at the airport and taken to my accommodation, then to my destination for two weeks. He liaised with the Kandy Samadhi Centre to meet all my needs and then even booked me a train ticket when it was time to leave. His contacts in Sri Lanka were professional, kind and very helpful.   Perfect Mix of Adventure and Relaxation I booked a family tour with Sesatha Travels and couldn’t be happier with the service. Coming from Melbourne, we are Sri Lankans who wanted a mix of adventure and relaxation, and Sesatha delivered on all fronts.Our safari in Wilpattu was unforgettable, and my wife loved the visit to the turtle hatchery in Kosgoda. The itinerary also included plenty of leisure time at stunning hotels, like the one in Galle, where we enjoyed panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.Shehan from Sesatha Travels was incredibly responsive and friendly, making the entire planning process smooth and enjoyable. What stood out most was the personal touch—our guide was equally friendly and flexible, often adjusting plans to suit our interests.   Excellent Travel Agent - we would highly recommend Sesatha Travel! Brilliant Travel Agent! Shehan went over and above to make sure we had the best honeymoon to Sri-Lanka & Maldives. He was helpful and patient with all our requests and maintained constant contact from our first call, while we were on holiday via whatsapp right through to after we returned home.   Excellent, unique and tailored trip to Sri Lanka Absolutely can highly recommend Sesatha Travel. Shehan has of course an in depth knowledge of his country making it a very special trip with inside knowledge. Whilst we had an itinerary in our minds, Shehan was able to fine tune it, recommend some other sights as well as recommending some other hotels that were not on our radar, and what fabulous hotels they turned out to be. Shehan booked all the hotels and our flights and arranged everything with our amazing tour guide for the trip, Nilu.   Wandering Sri Lanka An enjoyable experienceAn excellent guide/driver keen to enlighten or detour to our whimWe’ve seen such a variety across our travels including:-impressive archeology-Sculptors chipping historic/mythic scenes onto granite panels-Artisans casting brass figures for temples etc -Animals in their natural habitat - massive aquatic monitors (Varanus ) in the mangroves, families of elephant, mongoose, leopards, jungle fowl, peacocks …-Organic farms dealing with long dry seasons, elephant incursions and monkeys-An abundance of tropical fruits and local veg. production - mostly non-organicWe loved: -very friendly people-Great Ayurverdic massages-And gemstones, Sri Lanka’s most famous product together with tea-The trees often majestic including immigrant Eucalyptus (Australian) and Swietenia ( S. American mahogany ) together with native Mara, Jackfruit and Neem. Silky Oak (Aus) scattered throughout the tea plantations would provide bursts of orange in spring-A truly verdant landscapeWe left with some understanding of the economic and social problems facing the populous with growth in their reliance on tourism being a major goal of the gov.   Excellent, personal service We were very glad to have booked our first trip to Sri Lanka through Sesatha Travel. Shehan was always responsive, making communication easy. We always knew what was happening with our travel plans and when we had issues with our flights (unrelated to Sesatha Travel) Shehan was very accommodating and flexible, working around our changed flight schedule. Our driver, Nilu, who took us around Sri Lanka was amazing and made the trip that much more special with his local knowledge and understanding of the local culture.If you want to support a small business with excellent, personal service and have a desire to explore beautiful Sri Lanka, I highly recommend Sesatha Travel.

  Unique and tailored experience to Sri Lanka We had a fabulous trip to Sri Lanka with the expert guidance and support from Sesatha Travel and Shehan. Most importantly, Shehan understood the logistics of travelling with tween/teens and was also able to meet our brief for boutique accomodation away from the main tourist grind. It was really evident who understood our brief (particularly in terms of what kids can manage on an active holiday with quite a bit of drive time) when we searched for the right agent.   Sri Lankan holiday We had a wonderful holiday in Sri Lanka, had a great guide in Nadun who took care of us and showed us many interesting places and sites. We had great accommodation especially the smaller hotels we stayed in. A big thank you Shehan at Sesatha Travel who assisted with the itinerary and made helpful suggestions that improved our experience and arranged all the bookings.   Sri Lanka Experience Linda and I have only just returned from our tour through Sri Lanka booked with Shehan We couldn't have asked for more. We started our investigation about visiting Sri Lanka 12 months ago and became very disappointed in travel options until we stumbled upon Sesatha Travel. Working with Shehan we were able to develop a tour of places we wanted to visit at a pace we were comfortable with. More importantly a budget that was worked through to ensure we had a very comfortable stay at some amazing hotels.We had our own private driver/tour guide and car.Roshantha ( Rosh ) was exceptional over the 23 days we spent with him. We could not speak more highly of his attention to detail, his knowledge on all subjects,his driving etc. In fact we could write a whole expo on our interactions etc. From the time he picked us up at the airport he facilitated our travels in a very professional manner from providing water everyday, ensuring we didn’t have to queue for attractions, helping organise a sim card and the list goes on.We did every optional tour plus more that Rosh showed us. Our itinerary was well spaced. Never having been there, we were amazed at the culture and history. The food on offer covering all cuisines was amazing. We started our journey in Negombo, then travelled to Wilpattu National Park where we were fortunate to see leopard close up ,elephant etc. On to Anuradhapura and learning all about Buddhist history, customs and much more. Our tour took us to the coast for a few days then onto another Safari camp and more elephants and birds.The camp was sensationalWe stayed on a tea plantation in a Scottish Bungalow and immersed ourselves in Colonial living at its finest.Kandy was superb and the Amaya hotel high on the hill a delight.Visiting Knuckles National Park a UNESO listed heritage destination, was well worth the effort and the landscape stunning.On to another highlight Sigiriya and the climb up Lion Rock.This is not to be missed and we were astounded learning about the history and architecture.The boutique Chill Ville hotel we stayed at was just out of this world with its stunning views and the open air dining room was a place to dine with views to take your breath away.Attending a cooking class in Ella a great deal of fun and we learnt how to cook a proper curry. ( take your own bottle of wine )We could go on because so many highlights it would take pages of comment to give justice to our journey.Our stay culminated with a couple of days at Galle and another boutique hotel which was in an old dutch house.If you are considering travelling to Sri Lanka then engage with Shehan, you will not be disappointed. His follow up while you are travelling makes you feel comfortable should there be issues and someone there to help.We are so grateful for having experienced this beautiful country. Would obviously highly recommend Sesatha Travel for touring Sri Lanka. Right from the beginning, Shehan assisted me in arranging accommodations, transportation, and consulting with me on the necessary flight dates and transit points. I was pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary meals and water bottles for the entire duration of my trip.   Had a great experience Loved every minute of my Sri Lanka tour with Sesatha Travel. Shehan was very helpful from the start arranging all the accommodation, transport and consulting with me on the necessary flight dates, transit points etc.We have been given a lot of freebies including some complimentary meals and water bottles for the whole time of the trip etc. Found it very easy to deal with Shehan and I felt much safer when traveling with them.   We had a really great time in Sri Lanka We had a really great time in Sri Lanka, and it was the best holiday that we could have wished for. Sri Lanka was a great place, loved the weather, food and the great hospitality of the people. Traveling with Sesatha Travel made our lives so much easier in booking and planning the trip. Shehan had done a fantastic job organizing accommodation and transport, especially choosing us the right tour guide.
